LinkedIn QR Code Generator
A QR code lets someone open your LinkedIn profile just by pointing a phone camera at it. Paste your profile or company page URL, choose a color, and download a sharp PNG for business cards, badges, slides or the table at your booth.
Looks like a LinkedIn profile or company URL.
Scan it with your phone camera to test before you print it.

Making and testing your code
- 01
Copy your profile link
Open your LinkedIn profile and copy the full URL. A custom URL looks cleaner and is easier to check.
- 02
Paste it and pick a color
Choose a dark color with strong contrast against the white background.
- 03
Scan it before you print
Point your phone camera at the preview, then test a printed copy too.
Good places for a LinkedIn QR code
| Place | Why it works | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Business card | One scan instead of typing your name | Print at least about 2 cm (0.8 in) wide |
| Conference badge or slide | People connect while you are talking | Put it on your last slide too |
| Resume or portfolio | Recruiters jump to your full profile | Use your custom profile URL |
| Event table or booth | Easy follow-up after a chat | Add a short line like "Let's connect" |
| Email signature image | Useful when people read on a laptop | A plain link next to it still helps phone readers |
Dark code, light background, test it
QR codes scan best as a dark pattern on a light background with a clear margin around it. Keep that contrast, print it large enough, and always test with a phone before anything goes to the printer.
Tips that work
- Do set a custom LinkedIn URL first, so the link is short and clean.
- Do leave a white margin around the code.
- Do test a printed copy as well as the screen.
- Don't put the code on top of a busy photo.
- Don't pick a pale color that weakens the contrast.
- Don't print a hundred cards before scanning one.
The problem it solves
You meet someone at an event and agree to connect. Then comes the awkward part: spelling your last name, scrolling through search results, guessing which photo is you. A QR code turns that into a single scan.
It works with any phone camera, with no app needed. Since the code only holds your profile URL, it keeps working as long as that URL stays the same.
Static code, no tracking
This generator makes a static QR code. The link is stored in the pattern itself. There is no redirect through our servers, no scan counting and nothing that can switch off later. The code is drawn in your browser, and your URL is never sent to us.
Some QR services route scans through their own short link so they can count them, and the code stops working if that service goes away. We chose not to do that. If you want scan numbers, this is not the tool. If you want a code that just works, it is.
The LinkedIn apps also have a built-in QR code for your profile. Making your own gets you a high-resolution PNG in your chosen color, which is easier to place on printed material.
Before you hand it out
Give the code room. Tiny codes on business cards can be hard to scan, so keep it at a reasonable size with a clear margin. Dark on white is the safe choice. Avoid placing it over images or textures.
Add a few words next to it, such as "Scan to connect", so people know what it opens. Then look at your profile with fresh eyes. The people who scan land on your photo and headline first, so make sure both are current.
Frequently asked questions
Does a LinkedIn QR code expire?
Not this one. It is a static code that contains your URL directly, so it works as long as your profile URL stays the same.
Can I make a QR code for a company page?
Yes. Paste the company page URL instead of a personal profile URL.
Do you track scans?
No. The code points straight to LinkedIn, not through our servers, so there is no tracking.
What size should I print it?
Large enough to scan comfortably, with a white margin. Test the printed size with a phone before printing many copies.
Is my URL stored?
No. The code is generated in your browser and nothing is sent to us.
Where do I find my LinkedIn URL?
On your profile, look for the public profile and URL setting, or copy the address from your browser while viewing your profile.
What happens if I change my custom URL later?
Old codes would point to the old address. Make a new code after changing your URL and replace any printed copies you still hand out.
